A Healthcare Story

We had a divorced mom with an adult son. We designed her plan, and she kept it updated. We created healthcare powers of attorney and all the necessary documents, and she now has faded. She’s starting to have some dementia problems and some healthcare issues.

She went into a healthcare facility and needed help in the hospital. Her son needed a copy of the healthcare directives. When I sent them to him, he immediately acted on all of Mom’s wishes and had all the authority he needed to know that he could take care of all of her healthcare options and decisions the way she wanted them. He said it was great. He didn’t have to worry about anyone challenging his authority or his ability to act on her behalf because the documents stated her wishes.
